The Lions Club of Saint Joseph is here to serve our community. You can help us do that by attending one of our events, volunteering for one of our activities, donating to one of our fund raisers, or better yet, join the Club! We have a great time doing good work in Saint Joseph. If you join you'll find we have a well deserved reputation for having fun. Any visitor to one of our noon meetings can attest to this. Whether we are cleaning up Highway M63, selling Newsies in freezing weather, or sanding down charcoal grills at Lions Park Beach, we always find a way to make the event fun. It's one of the reasons we have such great participation from the members.
But the main reason to join is because the work we do matters. We give scholarships to area students, subsidize eye exams for those in difficult financial situations, raise money for the Goodfellows fund, sponsor a summer camp for children with physical and mental disabilities, collect eye glasses for distribution in third world countries, run basketball tournaments for middle school students, help screen preschool children for eye problems, and so much more. I invite you to consider joining our club and experiencing how much fun service work can be. Stop by one of our noon meetings and we will welcome you with open arms. Lion Andy Mollison |
